WIPRO Earthian 2020 Program Outcomes
We created awareness & induced action with 36 schools enrolled under earthian 2020 in Solan. And in the first year of implementation itself, 2 schools from Solan came in the Top 35 submissions that went to the jury as part of the Wipro earthian 2020 program. These 2 were out of 900 quality projects submitted across the country from both private & government schools.
This was for the 1st time that entries from Himachal Pradesh made it to the top 35. What's even better is that, Solan as a district was one of the top contributors in terms of number of reports (24 reports out of 900 from a single district). That too in such extraneous times when the schools were physically shut.
The 2 schools shortlisted in the top 35 were
GSSS Shamror
They submitted a report on the theme "Sustainability & Waste"
Shivalik Valley, School Nalagarh
They submitted a report on the theme "Sustainability & Biodiversity"
